Internal Transfer Application Process for Crew Currently Onboard

Internal Transfer Applications must be submitted to your Human Resources Officer by the expiration date of the job posting to be considered. Once the posting expires, it will be closed, and no further applications will be accepted until the next opportunity arises. Please note that you are allowed to apply for only one transfer opportunity at a time.

All candidates will undergo an internal screening process to ensure fair, consistent, and aligned evaluations with our operational needs. This process may include live and/or on-demand video interviews, assessment tests, and other relevant evaluations.

If you meet both the program and job requirements, the Human Resources Officer will coordinate an initial interview, along with any additional assessments that may be required as part of the application process.

Upon completion of the interview process, if shipboard management recommends you for transfer, the Human Resources Officer will submit your Internal Transfer Application to Fleet Talent Acquisition on your behalf for further consideration.

You will be notified via email at each stage of the process, including updates on your application status and the final outcome.

Please be aware that any application submitted bypassing the Human Resources Officer will be automatically rejected.

If your application is successful, placement in the new role will depend on availability and our operational needs. While Holland America Line will make every effort to accommodate your transition into the new role, this may not always be feasible. As a result, you may need to remain in your current role for one or more assignments until the new position becomes available.
